Ecological Prevention for Crescent Moon Spring Takes Action

An ecological prevention project for the Yueya, or Crescent Moon, Spring was launched recently in Dunhuang, a desert city in northwest China's Gansu province.
Xinhua News Agency reported the provincial government has invested more than 70 million yuan (over 9 million US dollars), in the project to protect this natural wonder.
Serious ecological deterioration is occurring in its surrounding areas due to the rapidly lowering water line of the spring.
